Let's
face it, photos do not always turn out as they're
supposed to. Luckily, advances in digital processing and
editing have made it possible to change less than perfect
photos into dazzling snapshots of life.
Lasting Impressions' photo edits are not like conventional
filters and effects. The edits we implement are targeted
to specific areas of the photo, depending upon what needs
to be fixed. Conventional filters and effects do not allow
for this; they are applied to the image as a whole. The targeted
approach ends with an overall better result. Enhance the
good parts, change the bad parts,
and end with a great photo!

"A picture is worth a thousand
words," as someone very wise once
said. In this example, we start with an photo taken
under studio conditions. The photo itself is okay, except
the lighting has washed out many of the colors and details
of the model. In the edited photo, the colors have been
brought back in full force. The reds in the hair are
now red again, the skin isn't ghost white, and the overall
lighting has been brought down in intensity to show subtle
tones and shades.
The model has also been given a full digital makeover. Freckles
have been removed to show perfect skin. Makeup has been applied
to the eyes and lips as well. With the hair, adding color
wasn't the only fix. Can you spot it? The strong highlights
on the peaks of the hair destroyed the hair's texture in
those areas. That has been hand painted back in to simulate
and enhance the hair's texture. How's that for a lasting
impression?
